Typof Technologies Pvt. Ltd. (“Typof”, “SMEPay”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal data when you access or use SMEPay, a technology platform enabling UPI-based payment acceptance through regulated third-party partners.

This Policy is drafted in accordance with applicable Indian laws, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, related rules, and relevant RBI and NPCI guidelines.

1. Data We Collect

• Account & Identity Data: Name, mobile number, email address, business details, PAN, GSTIN, address proof, and other KYC-related documents.
• Transaction Data: UPI identifiers (such as VPA), transaction reference numbers, amounts, timestamps, settlement status, wallet balance, and fee deductions.
• Technical & Usage Data: IP address, device and browser type, operating system, log files, session identifiers, and error diagnostics.
• Cookies & Similar Technologies: Used for authentication, session management, security, and analytics.

2. Purposes of Processing

• Service Delivery: Enable payment-related functionality, dashboards, transaction tracking, and user support.
• KYC & Compliance: Share required data with regulated partners (including PhonePe, Setu, Decentro, sponsor banks) for identity verification, AML checks, and regulatory compliance.
• Operational Communication: Transaction alerts, service notifications, OTPs, and support communications.
• Security & Fraud Prevention: Monitoring, investigation, and prevention of unauthorized or fraudulent activity.
• Legal & Regulatory Obligations: Compliance with applicable laws, audits, reporting, dispute handling, and law enforcement requests.

3. Data Sharing & Disclosure

• UPI & Banking Partners: Data is shared with regulated entities such as PhonePe, Setu, Decentro, sponsor banks, and NPCI ecosystem participants strictly for permitted purposes.
• Service Providers: Infrastructure, hosting, analytics, and communication service providers engaged under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
• Legal or Regulatory Authorities: Where required under applicable law, court orders, or regulatory directions.
• Business Transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or restructuring, data may be transferred subject to this Privacy Policy.

4. Security Measures

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls, monitoring, and periodic security reviews.

While we strive to protect your data, no system is completely secure. Please report any suspected security incident to support@smepay.io immediately.

5. Data Retention

• KYC & Transaction Data: Retained for periods mandated under applicable Indian laws, RBI/NPCI guidelines, and partner requirements (generally not less than 5 years).
• Inactive Accounts: Data may be anonymized or deleted after prolonged inactivity unless retention is required for legal or compliance purposes.

6. Your Rights

• Request access to your personal data.
• Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
• Request deletion, subject to legal and regulatory obligations.

7. Cross-Border Processing

Certain service providers or partners may process data outside India. In such cases, appropriate contractual and technical safeguards are implemented in accordance with applicable law.

SMEPay is intended for use by individuals aged 18 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal data of minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date will reflect the most recent revision. Continued use of SMEPay after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
