QR Codes
When you create a payment link, SMEPay can also generate a dynamic UPI QR Code that your customers can scan using any UPI app (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, etc.).
Scanning to Pay
When a customer clicks your payment link, they are presented with a secure "Scan to Pay" screen.
- They will see your business name with a "Trusted Business" green checkmark.
- The Price Summary is clearly displayed at the top right.
They can click the Generate QR button to reveal the QR code.
QR Code Expiry
Once the QR code is generated, the customer can simply scan it with their preferred UPI application.
⚠️
For security purposes, the generated QR code is time-sensitive. It typically expires in 5 minutes (a countdown timer is displayed below the QR code). If it expires, the customer will need to refresh or generate a new one.
Supported Apps
Customers can scan using:
- Google Pay
- PhonePe
- Paytm
- BHIM UPI
- Amazon Pay
- Any UPI-enabled banking app
Security
- QR codes are generated securely.
- QR codes expire automatically.
- Payment information is encrypted.
- Customers always pay through secure UPI channels.
